Mammography film-to-digital acquisition module for CAD systems introduces

ICAD, Inc. (ICAD), a provider of computer-aided detection (CAD) systems, announced the availability of its PureLook Mammography Film Digitizer. PureLook is the film-to-digital acquisition module for the iCAD TotaLook, and SecondLook Product Lines. Digitizing prior mammograms makes comparative reading in the same digital context possible, alleviating issues with glare and other ergonomic concerns. Mammography relies heavily upon a comparative look at prior years of mammograms to check for change over time. According to the American Cancer Society over 90% of the estimated 48 million mammograms taken this year are for women who have previous studies....
