Glut-1 expression is not predictive of race-specific breast cancer recurrence

A recent study showed that measurement of Glut-1 expression is not predictive of race-specific recurrence for breast cancer. "African-American women (AAW) have more adverse tumor characteristics than non-African American women (non-AAW) and there is a need for a specific predictive marker for AAW recurrence," stated researchers in the United States.
