Investigators in Ireland, France and Germany have published new breast cancer data. Study 1: Immunohistochemistry (IHC) for Her2 with CBE356 antibody is a more accurate predictor of Her2 gene amplification by fluorescence in situ hybridization (FISH) than HercepTest in breast carcinoma. According to recent research from Ireland, "Her2 (c-erbB-2/neu) overexpression in breast carcinoma predicts response to the anti-Her2 monoclonal antibody, trastuzumab, and is associated with a poor prognosis.
