Recent findings in breast cancer provide new insights

Breast cancer research advances have been reported from Belgium, the United States and Switzerland. Study 1: Low-density microarrays are suitable for the molecular characterization of breast tumor cell lines. In a recent study, oncologists in Belgium "designed a low-density microarray carrying 132 DNA capture sequences highly specific for genes known to be differentially expressed among breast tumors and BCC lines or associated with specific tumor properties (cell cycle alteration, proteolysis, adhesion, hormone sensitivity, etc)."
