ADAM 12-mediated focal adhesion formation is differently regulated by integrins

According to recent research from Denmark, ADAM 12-mediated focal adhesion formation is differently regulated by beta 1 and beta 3 integrins. C.K. Thodeti and colleagues, University of Copenhagen, wrote, "ADAM12, a disintegrin and metalloprotease, has been demonstrated to be upregulated in human malignant tumors and to accelerate the malignant phenotype in a mouse model for breast cancer."
