Successful lactation is possible after breast-conserving therapy, although diminished in the treated breast. "As the incidence of breast-conserving therapy in women of childbearing years increases, patient concerns regarding subsequent pregnancies and lactation have become more prevalent," stated scientists writing in the Cancer Journal.
