Double reading with computer-aided detection increases sensitivity for cancer detection over single reading. Scientists writing in Radiology conducted a study to "evaluate prospectively the recall and cancer detection rates with and without computer-aided detection (CAD) in the United Kingdom National Health Service Breast Screening Program." "The study had appropriate ethics committee approval.
