Breast cancer foundation's interactive web site wins leadership awards

Komen.org, the Susan G. Komen Breast Cancer Foundation's interactive web site devoted to breast health and breast cancer information was recently awarded two honors at the Sixth Annual eHealthcare Leadership Awards.

Within the Consumer-Diseased Focused Site Category, komen.org received a Platinum Award for Best Overall Internet Site and a Gold for Best Health/Healthcare Content.

Nearly 1,200 web sites were submitted for the awards, which recognize health-related web sites and the role the Internet plays in an organization's ability to reach audiences and achieve goals.
