Recent findings illuminate research in breast cancer

Investigators in the United Kingdom, United States and Israel have published new breast cancer data.

Study 1: A multicenter investigation aimed at reaching a consensus on the immunohistochemical detection of estrogen receptor (ER) beta in archival formalin-fixed paraffin embedded human breast tissue determined that further studies are needed.

According to a study from England, "ER alpha is a well-established independent prognostic factor in breast cancer whose presence determines the clinical implications of adjuvant endocrine therapy.
