Studies add new findings to osteoporosis body of knowledge

New findings from the United States, Japan and United Kingdom describe advances in osteoporosis. Study 1: A recent study reveals that radiographic vertebral deformities are sometimes misdiagnosed as new vertebral fractures. Researchers from the United States "prospectively examined, in a large cohort of older women, the proportion of incident radiographic vertebral deformities diagnosed as incident clinical vertebral fractures in the same women at the same vertebral level.
