Study reveals racial differences in circulating levels of IGFBP-3

A recent study reveals racial differences the in circulating levels of IGFBP-3. "Circulating concentrations of IGF-1 and IGFBP-3 are associated with risk of pre-menopausal breast cancer. Racial differences in levels of these factors have been reported, and determinants of IGF-1 and IGFBP-3 levels within racial and ethnic groups are unclear," scientists writing in the journal Cancer Causes & Control report.
