Women prefer intermittent self-catheterization over supra-pubic catheterization for bladder care after hysterectomy.

"To determine the potential benefits of ISC (intermittent self-catheterization) over SPC (supra-pubic catheterization) in the postoperative bladder care of women following radical hysterectomy," researchers in England conducted a "a prospective randomized controlled trial of women treated by radical hysterectomy for early stage cervical cancer."
