Expression of androgens and androgen receptors linked to risk of breast cancer

The expression of androgens and androgen receptors (ARs) were associated with the risk of breast carcinoma. According to a study from Italy, "Androgens and ARs are involved in the pathogenesis of breast cancer. Epidemiological studies have shown a significant association between the risk of breast cancer and androgens."
