Study demonstrates correlation between biomarker reactivity and breast cancer recurrence risk

TriPath Imaging, Inc. (TPTH) announced that data generated from an external research study conducted at the Albany Medical College using the company's proprietary ProEx Br biomarkers demonstrate a strong correlation between biomarker reactivity and the risk of disease recurrence within 5 years from initial diagnosis of early stage breast cancer. This research study included 217 archived breast tissue specimens from a retrospective cohort of patients with early stage breast cancer who had been followed for a minimum of 5 years following initial diagnosis.
