Physical activity extends cardiovascular disease-free life expectancy for men and women.

According to investigators in the Netherlands, "Physical inactivity is a modifiable risk factor for cardiovascular disease. However, little is known about the effects of physical activity on life expectancy with and without cardiovascular disease."
