With some exceptions, few differences are seen in therapy for pregnant vs. non-pregnant breast cancer patients. According to recent research from England, "The management of women who have breast cancers diagnosed while they are pregnant is challenging. The aim is to give optimal treatment to the mother to maximize the chances of survival, whilst minimizing the risks of harm to the fetus."
