Researchers describe findings in breast cancer studies

Breast cancer research advances have been reported from the United States and Japan. Study 1: Mice lacking cyclooxygenase-2 (Cox-2) capacity have reduced mammary tumorigenesis and angiogenesis. "The inducible prostaglandin synthase Cox-2 is overexpressed in approximately 40% of human breast cancers and at higher frequencies in preinvasive ductal carcinoma in situ (DCIS).
