RBC count up, alkaline phosphatase level down in patients receiving both CMF and tamoxifen

The red blood count (RBC) count increased, the alkaline phosphatase level went down in patients who received both CMF and tamoxifen as compared to the patients received only CMF.

"The study includes the breast cancer female patients who had received chemotherapy (CMF, tarnoxifen) and the newly diagnosed breast cancer patients, who had not received any chemotherapy," scientists in Pakistan reported.

"The patients who had received 6 cycles of CMF had shown low RBC, WBC [white blood count], and platelet count, elevated levels of SGPT [serum glutamic pyruvic transaminase], alkaline phosphatase, and lactate dehydrogenase as compared to newly diagnosed...
