Electromagnetic field exposure a potential risk factor for congenital anomalies

Military service aboard a Norwegian missile torpedo boat was associated with a significantly increased risk of having children with birth defects or who were stillborn, reveals research in Occupational and Environmental Medicine. The finding may indicate that exposure to electromagnetic fields, as servicemen on this torpedo boat experienced, may be a risk factor for having children with birth defects.
