Calcium signaling in cancer and vitamin D was examined. According to recent research published in the Journal of Steroid Biochemistry and Molecular Biology, "Calcium signals induced by the Ca2+ regulatory hormone 1,25(OH)(2)D-3 may determine the fate of the cancer cell.
