Breast cancer survival benefit is linked more to early diagnosis rather than differential treatment. "Italian population-based breast cancer screening programs with 2-year, high-quality mammography started in the cities of Florence and Turin in the early 1990s," declared researchers from the Center for Study and Prevention of Cancer in Florence.
