Women need strong support systems to continue breast-feeding

Findings from the pregnancy risk assessment and monitoring system indicate that women need strong support systems to continue breast-feeding.

Investigators in the United States report, "We examined breast-feeding behaviors, periods of vulnerability for breast-feeding cessation, reasons for breast-feeding cessation, and the association between predelivery intentions and breast-feeding behaviors."
