Oregon women gain unprecedented access to clinical breast exam paid for by insurance

The Oregon Health & Science University (OHSU) recently hosted a press conference on the passing of House Bill 2498, which gives Oregon women as young as18 years old unprecedented access to a clinical breast exam paid for by insurance. The OHSU Cancer Institute, the Oregon Breast & Cervical Cancer Early Detection Program, American Cancer Society, and the Oregon Women's Health and Wellness Alliance are all part of a coalition to raise awareness about the new law and encourage women to seek comprehensive clinical breast exams done by using the vertical strip, 3-pressure method.
