Findings advance knowledge in breast cancer research

Reports from the United States and Belgium highlight recent research on breast cancer. Study 1: Older age was linked to a lower risk of sentinel lymph node (SLN) metastasis in breast cancer. "The influence of patient age on the risk of SLN metastasis in breast cancer has not been defined. A breast cancer SLN database was analyzed. Factors associated with SLN metastasis were assessed by multiple logistic regression modeling," scientists in the United States reported.
