Active lifestyle may prevent hypertension in normotensive women

An active lifestyle may prevent the development of hypertension in initially normotensive women.

According to recent research published in the American Journal of Epidemiology, "The authors examined the association between cardiorespiratory fitness and incident hypertension in women who were normotensive and free of cardiovascular disease at baseline in the Aerobics Center Longitudinal Study (Dallas, Texas), 1970-1998."
