Recent findings illuminate research in breast cancer

Investigators in the United States and Canada have published new breast cancer data. Study 1: Spanish-preferring Latinas in Los Angeles County experienced delays in care for breast cancer and lower satisfaction rates. "We examined breast cancer treatment experiences of and outcomes for Latinas in Los Angeles County. We conducted a population-based survey of women who were diagnosed with breast cancer between December 2001 and November 2002 (n=910) to evaluate the types of treatments received, communication with clinicians, and satisfaction.
