Higher serum hemoglobin levels may predict an enhanced response for patients to neoadjuvant chemotherapy. A study group at the University of Turin reports, "The aim of this study was to evaluate the predictive value of pretreatment serum hemoglobin level (Hb) together with a series of clinical and pathological variables available before neoadjuvant chemotherapy in locally advanced squamous cervical cancer."
