Recent findings in breast cancer described

Breast cancer research advances have been reported from the United Kingdom, CH-4031 Switzerland and United States.

Study 1: Ultrasound (US)-guided core needle biopsy could be used for diagnosing non-palpable breast lesions.

Researchers in Spain conducted a study "to assess the diagnostic value of US-guided 14 G core needle breast biopsy in non-palpable suspicious breast lesions. From August 1997 to April 2001, 198 patients with 204 suspicious non-palpable breast lesions underwent US-guided large core needle biopsy.
