Locally advanced cervical cancer (LACC) could be treated by preoperative chemoradiotherapy. Researchers in Italy conducted a study "to demonstrate the efficacy and feasibility of preoperative chemoradiotherapy in a consecutive series of 100 LACC patients. Between October 1997 and December 2004, 100 LACC patients were consecutively staged and treated at the Catholic University of the Sacred Heart of Rome."
