Researchers' findings advance cervical cancer research

Investigators in India, the Canada H2W 1S6 and France have published new cervical cancer data. Study 1: The high prevalence of cervical cancer in Indian women suggest an urgent need for mass screening programs. "Cancer of the uterine cervix is the second most common cancer among women in the world after breast cancer. It is the most common cancer among Indian women," declared researchers from the Indian Council of Medical Research, Institute of Pathology.
