Low glycemic-index diet and exercise helps postmenopausal women lower cardiovascular disease risk

The journal Nutrition features the results of a 2-arm prospective clinical trial in postmenopausal women at risk for cardiovascular disease (CVD) that shows a greater improvement in established cardiovascular health markers with a low glycemic-index diet and exercise than with traditional low-fat, high carbohydrate diets and exercise.
