Cervical cancer therapy with cisplatin appears to be comparable to other agents in the same setting. According to scientists at the University of California at Irvine, "This trial was conducted to evaluate the safety and efficacy of cisplatin plus gemcitabine in previously treated squamous cell carcinoma of the cervix."
