Study 1: Recent research from Russia has reported on the analysis of BRCA1 gene mutation using hybridization with hydrogel microarrays.
"Germ-line mutations in BRCA1 gene account for a substantial proportion of inherited breast and ovarian cancers. Identification of these mutations allows molecular diagnosis for breast cancer susceptibility," wrote O.E. Fedorova and colleagues, Russian Academy of Science.
