Researchers from Japan, Netherlands and the United States report recent findings in angiology

Angiology research advances have been reported from Japan, Netherlands and the United States.

Study 1: Estrogen replacement effectively improves the accelerated intimal hyperplasia following balloon injury of the carotid artery in ovariectomized rats.

According to the report from Japan, "Present experiments were designed to investigate the effects of ovariectomy (OVX) and estrogen replacement (ER) on neointimal formation after balloon injury of the rat carotid artery."
