Intraoperative administration of dexmedetomidine reduces need for perioperative morphine

According to researchers at Uludag University in Turkey, "This prospective, randomized, double-blind study was designed to assess whether intraoperative infusion of dexmedetomidine provides effective postoperative analgesia."
