More women with fibroids discussing uterine fibroid embolization with physicians

The National Women's Health Resource Center (NWHRC) and BioSphere Medical, Inc. (BSMD) announced a survey that found more than 40% of women suffering from uterine fibroids discussed uterine fibroid embolization (UFE) when they met with their medical professional.

More than one-third of these women went on to choose UFE as their treatment option, more than any of the surgical options such as hysterectomy and myomectomy or non-surgical alternatives like hormone therapy.
