Rutgers College of Nursing professor will examine Latinas' attitudes towards exercise

A Rutgers College of Nursing faculty member, Karen T. D'Alonzo, has been awarded a three-year $274,104 grant from the National Institute of Nursing Research at the U.S. National Institutes of Health to conduct two studies examining young Latinas' attitudes toward physical activity.

The first study will examine the attitudes and beliefs of young Latinas with regard to physical activity using a focus group-type methodology known as "culture circles."
