HRA Pharma commences phase III trial of second-generation emergency contraceptive

The study will be conducted in 16 clinics affiliated with Planned Parenthood Federation of America (PPFA) in 7 different U.S. states.
Dr. Andre Ulmann, CEO of HRA Pharma, said: "Every year millions of women find themselves in need of emergency contraception. This is therefore an important trial of a contraceptive that could offer significant benefits for many women worldwide. The drug holds a great deal of promise and may present some real advantages for emergency contraception."
