Women on an osteoporosis drug can maintain protection even after discontinuing use

The study on alendronate was led by researchers at the University of California, San Francisco, and findings are published in the Journal of the American Medical Association. The research also showed that women at very high risk of painful spine fractures might be better-off continuing treatment.
