Fresh data on breast cancer are presented in the report "Beta glucan induces proliferation and activation of monocytes in peripheral blood of patients with advanced breast cancer. Glucans are glucose polymers that constitute a structural part of fungal cell wall. They can stimulate the innate immunity by activation of monocytes/macrophages," researchers in Istanbul, Turkey report.
