Researchers from Bayindir Hospital, Department of Dermatology detail findings in menopause therapy

A report, "Pimecrolimus 1% cream in the treatment of vulvar lichen sclerosus in postmenopausal women," is newly published data in International Journal of Dermatology. According to a study from Ankara, Turkey, "Vulvar lichen sclerosus (LS), a poorly recognized chronic inflammatory skin disease, may represent a therapeutic challenge. Pimecrolimus cream 1% is a nonsteroidal, selective inflammatory cytokine inhibitor that has recently been indicated for some inflammatory cutaneous diseases."
