Scientists at National Cheng-Kung University, Department of Radiation Oncology release new data on breast cancer

Research findings, "Hypoxia-inducible factor-1alpha correlates with MET and metastasis in node-negative breast cancer," are discussed in a new report. According to a study from Tainan, Taiwan, "The mechanism of tumor hypoxia promoting metastasis remains uncertain. Hypoxia-inducible factor-1alpha (HIF-1alpha) is a key mediator of the cellular response to hypoxia and binds the met promoter, resulting in increased expression of MET."
