Assisted reproduction -- Risks during and after pregnancy

The risks of complications both during and after pregnancy achieved through assisted reproduction techniques (ART) are significantly higher than for natural conception, and long term follow-up of children born through ART is needed to fully understand the consequences of these techniques. The issues are addressed in a Review published in The Lancet.
