Research results from Medical School update understanding of angiogenesis

A report, "Ovarian cancer cell-derived migration inhibitory factor enhances tumor growth, progression, and angiogenesis," is newly published data in Molecular Cancer Therapeutics. According to recent research published in the journal Molecular Cancer Therapeutics, "In view of our previous findings that tumor cell-derived macrophage migration inhibitory factor (MIF) increased macrophage-mediated ovarian cancer cell invasiveness in vitro, we investigated the wider significance of ovarian cancer cell-derived MIF for tumor growth, metastasis, and angiogenesis.
