Research from University of Texas, M. D. Anderson Cancer Center provide new insights into spermatogenesis therapy

Data detailed in "Genetic factors contributing to defective spermatogonial differentiation in juvenile spermatogonial depletion (Utp14bjsd) mice" have been presented. According to recent research published in the journal Biology of Reproduction, "Male mice that are homozygous for the juvenile spermatogonial depletion (jsd) mutation in the Utp14b gene undergo several waves of spermatogenesis. However, spermatogonial differentiation ceases and in adults, spermatogonia are the only germ cells that remain."
