Research on polycystic ovarian syndrome discussed by B. Meczekalski and co-researchers

According to recent research from Poznan, Poland, "The study objective was to assess the role of 3 alpha-androstanediol glucuronide (3 alpha-diolG) as the marker of peripheral androgen action in the young women with hirsutism diagnosed as polycystic ovary syndrome (PCOS), in patients with idiopathic hirsutism (IH) and in normal non-hirsute women. Fifty-nine young women with mean age 21.90 +/- 3.52 years suffered from hirsutism were included in the study."
