Study data from Free University, Department of Obstetrics & Gynaecology update knowledge of breast cancer

A report, "Does preoperative magnetic resonance imaging modify breast cancer surgery," is newly published data in Acta Chirurgica Belgica. In this recent article published in the journal Acta Chirurgica Belgica, scientists in Belgium conducted a study "To determine the impact of preoperative use of breast magnetic resonance imaging (MRI) in therapeutic surgical approach in women with breast cancer. Preoperative contrast-enhanced MRI of the breast was performed in 105 patients with suspected breast carcinomas. MRI findings were correlated with mammography (MMG) and ultrasonography (US)."
