Research results from Tamkang University, Department of Chemistry update knowledge of breast cancer

A new study, 'Human manganese superoxide dismutase suppresses HER2/neu-mediated breast cancer malignancy,' is now available. According to recent research published in the journal FEBS Letters, "'The up-regulation of HER2/neu is associated with human malignancies and is a useful target for developing anticancer drugs. Overexpression of human manganese superoxide dismutase (MnSOD) has been demonstrated to effectively suppress various carcinoma cells, including breast carcinomas, in vitro and in vivo."
