Studies from Stanford University further understanding of hormones

New research, 'Cognition and cognitive aging,' is the subject of a report. "Cognitive effects of estrogen have been considered in a number of large, randomized, double-blind, placebo-controlled trials. Most have involved older, postmenopausal women, and results of these provide little support for the view that estrogen-containing hormone therapy initiated after age 60 substantially affects mean cognitive performance over periods of time ranging up to 5 years," scientists writing in the journal Climacteric report.
