Findings from University of North Carolina in breast cancer prognosis reported

A report, 'Gene expression profiling in breast cancer,' is newly published data in Current Opinion In Oncology. According to recent research from the United States, "Gene expression profiling has highlighted the biologic heterogeneity of breast cancer and has begun to influence the ability of the medical community to individualize patient therapy. The review is intended to highlight the most important advances in the field over recent years with an emphasis on those most relevant to the practicing oncologist Two prognostic profiling assays, the Mammaprint and Oncotype Dx, are in phase III clinical trials designed to evaluate their contribution to therapeutic decision making."
